ANNUAL CHALLENGE FOR CHILDREN’S EVENT

Pro Paintball raises money for Children’s Hospitals of Minnesota
Minneapolis, MN – MN Pro Paintball hosts
the 5th annual Challenge for Children’s Big Game on Sunday, May 19th
2013. Challenge for Children’s is one of the most unique charity events in
Minnesota with over 700 people playing in a scenario-based paintball game in
which all profits benefit Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota. This
year’s event will feature two Navy Seals as game commanders, a live band during
lunch, and a vendor area for local businesses.
So far the event has raised over $100,000
for the cardiac unit at Children’s. Briana Oakes, Senior Benefit Associate
says, “Challenge for Children’s continues to be one of the largest privately
run fundraising events for Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota. At
Children’s we rely on the community to deliver the highest quality of care
possible to our patients so groups like MN Pro Paintball are key to making that
happen!” The goal is to raise $35,000 during this year’s event.

Paintball started the Challenge for Children’s event in 2009 after being a
patient at the hospital since he was born. He says, “I started the event as a
way to give back to the hospital that has done so much for me and my family,
but also as a way to involve the community and have fun. Paintball is a great
sport because anyone can play regardless of experience or skill level.” Challenge
for Children’s is suitable for all levels of players from first-timers to
experienced veterans. Every year patients from Children’s are also invited to
participate in the event.
The 5th annual Challenge for
Children’s takes place at MN Pro Paintball’s 200 acre park in Lakeville, MN on
Sunday, May 19th 2013 from 9 am – 5 pm. Pre-registration is open
until Tuesday, May 14th for $30 online and at all of MN Pro
Paintball’s locations. Registration includes admission to the game and
unlimited air fills. Rental packages are available for $15 and field paint is
