Bounty Hunters - Game of Thrones IV
Bounty Hunters finished our season in early November with one of the most highly anticipated games on our schedule, Game of Thrones 4, at Bear Claw Paintball in Fayetteville,TN. The Game of Thrones series, produced by MPP Games, never fails to disappoint in terms of excitement and challenging missions. This time Bounty Hunters fought for House Tyrell against the dreaded Freemen.
Day one began with a mission for House Tyrell to capture its base, Highgarden, and two other objectives, Long Table and Crakehall, along a line that spread from the north end to the south end of the field. With Bounty Hunters spread throughout the line, the Tyrells were able to root out the Freemen from every house, ditch, bunker, and bridge. The opening objectives set the tone for the rest of the event as every inch of ground was heavily contested.
On day two, Bounty Hunters were twice charged with defending the small metal maze of death known as the Noise Factory (Craster’s Keep). The first occasion took place early in the day. While Bounty Hunters held the Noise Factory, another group occupied the cemetery on our right flank. Just as our XO arrived to start the mission, our right flank suddenly collapsed. Through intense gun fighting, and the racket of paintballs slamming into the tin walls, we prevailed and accomplished our mission. We successfully defended the Noise Factory once more during the final battle as House Tyrell held three of the five final battle objectives.
This season, our first sponsored by Planet Eclipse, was our best yet. It saw us play more events at more fields than we ever have before. We are grateful for the support we have received from Planet Eclipse and have enjoyed their products immensely. Our Ego, Geo, Etek, and Etha markers are smooth and reliable. We especially appreciated our HDE Camo Pants at Game of Thrones as the padding protected our knees when we kneeled on rocks, roots, and sticks.
If you haven’t played a Game of Thrones event before, you don’t know what you’re missing. Ben Torricelli spares no detail in writing the event each year, and the field at Bear Claw is always challenging. We hope to see you on the field in 2016!
