The Eclipse Etha LT - Back in the game!

Image
As you all know, we've re-released our latest marker into the Planet Eclipse line-up but many of you may have noticed that it isn't actually what you'd call NEW, right? Well, you'd be 100% correct. But why would we just re-release an old marker and make a bit of a song-and-dance about it? That's pretty easy to explain. The original Etha was a shining light at the sub $350 price bracket mainly due to the amount of effort that we put into it, and ALL of our markers if we're honest. Our focus on supreme design, build quality and performance meant that the Etha was over engineered in some respects. Because our vision of 'Entry Level' differed from the rest of the pack. Which is why the Etha was as successful as it was. The release of the Etha2 was more than just an evolution of the Etha, it was a revolution (our marketing ninjas penned it The Ethalution) and it became so much more than an incredible low cost marker. In reality this left a hole whe...

PJ On Tour... MVPS Event #2 Florida

Image
https://www.facebook.com/MVPSevents/ Nothing like a quiet 3 hour drive to clear the mind. Destination, Xtreme PB Xperience host of event#2   for Maximum Velocity Paintball Series (MVPS) Spring Skirmish. Field owners Billy and Danna Matney have been running XPX for quite some time and are known for being one of the best Paintball Fields in Florida.   XPX was in the process of setting up a second field for games the next day. After picking a good spot to set up the Tech Booth I got to work setting up the tent, table, chairs and banners to have everything ready for games early Saturday morning....Players were pleased to say the least.  Saturday met us with overcast conditions for a good part of the day and of course the Paintball Gods blessed us yet again with a slight shower just to keep things fun and wet. Teams rolled in and the minor issues started to pop up. Nothing I hate worse than a Paintball player that never cleans their marker. I fix markers, m...

#04 - The EGO has landed!

Image
Following on from our previous '25 Years in the Game' post, #03 XSV to EGO , it was only right that we waxed lyrical about the launch of our very first Planet Eclipse marker. The Eclipse EGO . Thomas Taylor giving the first custom XSV EGO some hell For those who don't know about our history, here's a little recap. We, Planet Eclipse, have been in the paintball industry for over 25 years now (since 1991/92) and started life with a small store in Manchester (England) selling other people's paintball equipment, as well as playing with it. As time moved on we decided to use our expertise to design and manufacture custom parts to make other people's markers look cooler and eventually perform better, because like every other paintballer out there we used this stuff too. We understood the frustrations of inefficient equipment and had ideas about how we could improve this. We wanted to go out at the weekends, to the woods or the speedball field and focus on ...
