🚨 NXL 2025 Firmware Update Alert 🚨

As the 2025 NXL Season nears the game-on buzzer we recommend all players install the latest firmware update for their high-end Eclipse markers. This update – Ver 1-6-1 – is only available for the following MME Platform CS3, EGO LV2 and Geo R5.

This version of firmware has been created specifically to address some concerns raised at the 2024 NXL World Cup by the refs and organisers.

These concerns were focused around players knowingly, or accidentally, adjusting the NXL 2016 Preset outside the legal NXL firing mode rules. The adjustments of the KICK-IN, SUSTAIN, and RESTART parameters resulted in unacceptable ramping behaviours.

This latest firmware version contains the new 'NXL 25' Preset which functions exactly the same as the NXL 2016 preset but it cannot be adjusted outside of the legal NXL Firing Mode Rules. This is NOT a different firing mode; it is purely there to assist the referees in quickly and effectively identifying if a marker is 100% legal, without wasting precious time accessing menus and splash screens.

With NXL 25 selected, BS ON ROF and BS OFF ROF can still be adjusted, but only to a maximum value of 10.5 BPS. The ramping control parameters - KICK IN, SUSTAIN, RESTART, etc. - are locked and cannot be adjusted. The defaults in this Preset remain at 10.2 BPS for BS ON ROF and 10.0 for BS OFF ROF.

An animated NXL logo will be displayed on screen when this Preset is selected, enabling officials to swiftly recognise this new legal firing mode and move along happily.

Firmware Ver 1-6-1 is now available on E-Portal4 for download, see below.
