Emortal Army Legends #3 - Nick Slowiak

Image
#23 Nick Slowiak Next up, one of paintball's nicest dudes and a real ambassador for the sport on many levels. Whether socially or professionally, Nick has a positive influence and approach to everything, and he's a true asset wherever he goes. As a player he's focused, determined, he digs deep and gives his all to get the job done. He uses his vast experience to compete at the highest level and to educate those who are growing into the sport.  We genuinely believe that paintball is a better place when Nick is around. As with all the Emortals we asked him these 3 simple questions: Favourite paintball moment? One of the best memories in my life was winning the NPPL Las Vegas Championship in 2011. To be able to win that event with my friends, old and new, was incredible. To be able to do it against the most winningest team, arguably the best in the history of tournament paintball, also made it all the sweeter. That whole year was rough and even though it ended with my first pr...

Emortal Army Legends #2 - Mike Bruno

Image
#5 Mike Bruno They don't come more passionate than our next Emortal. Mike Bruno has had a legendary playing career, notably dominating everyone with Aftershock in the early years. He's consistently been an aggressive and scary player during paintball's development years and continues to be influential today. His fight and spirit is something to behold and he can be a truly motivating force. Many of the game's most aggressive players today wouldn't exist if it wasn't for Mike. As with all Emortals, we asked him the same 3 questions. Favourite paintball moment? My favorite paintball moment(s) would surely be when I was a young man and the very first 4 events I played were as pro, with Aftershock (of course) and we won them all (of course). It doesn’t get sweeter than that. Favourite Eclipse marker you've used? My favourite and best marker is the one in the photo. My Mike Bruno 05 GEO GSL. The best. What's the story behind your number? The story behind my p...

Bringing the Latino Heat 🔥

Image
There have been quite a few changes in the wake of the 2021 NXL Professional Paintball season, one of which being the formation of a new Latin Pro team named the Latin Saints. This team has a solid roster with familiar faces either playing, or working within the organisation, and these guys mean business. We're tipping the Saints to really stick it to their opponents in 2022, so expect to see them knocking on the Sunday Club door quite early in the season. Team Coach Diego Santos said this about our partnership: Latin Saints are proud to announce that we will be shooting Planet Eclipse markers for the 2022 season.  We feel that Planet Eclipse has a long and rich history of making the best markers in paintball. We understand that to perform at the highest  level you need reliable equipment and service, which Planet Eclipse provide. We are beyond exited to have them as a sponsor for our first year in the NXL professional division. 2022 is already shaping up to be an entertaining...

Emortal Army Legends #1 - Colt Roberts

Image
As we open the door to 2022 and look back at our 30th year of dominance, we wanted to celebrate, somehow. Our success has been forged by many, so we want to pay homage to those players and individuals who have shaped the paintball industry, inspired us as players and helped to drive our business forwards.  Some of these legends have been Shooting Eclipse since the very beginning, and some for only for a short period in their illustrious careers, but to us here at Planet Eclipse HQ every one of them are considered EMORTALS. We're releasing a set of 52 player cards – one per week – to shine a light on these individuals who we're eternally grateful to. And yes, we'll eventually print these as a full set of playing cards, but more on that later. Part of this release will include a short blog post (right here) where the chosen player will answer 3 simple questions: 1. What's your favourite moment in paintball? 2. What's your favourite Eclipse marker that you've ever ...

EMF100 - So good they are stealing them!

Image
Yes, i t’s happened again! A recent shipment from the UK to Germany had a pallet cut open and 40 EMF100’s stolen. Nobody was hurt and investigations are still carrying on but it does mean that there are some stolen EMF100 markers out in the wild, and in the hands of criminals. We will register these on our database and if any of these markers surface we will report the details to the police. At this stage we don't know if the markers were taken in the UK or in transit to Germany however, the UK Police in Kent have taken on the case and the crime reference number is 46/123918/21 . If you buy these markers, even if they are cheap, we give the criminals a reason to steal more and next time it might be your pride and joy that is stolen. You will be receiving stolen goods and can (and will) have them taken back off you by the police. If you have any information you can contact crime stoppers ANONYMOUSLY here: https://crimestoppers-uk.org/ EMF100 (Black) Serial Numbers: 17060-1665...

Are you winding me up?

Image
Now that CF20 mags are hitting the stores around the World we have heard a few people saying that the winding up of mag isn’t easy. Well, firstly always make sure that the top mag roller shutter door is OPEN when you wind the CF20 mag up that will make it a lot easier. Second, you can always use a 1/8 " Allen key (velocity key) to wind up the mag and if that’s not good enough here are a couple of other solutions you might like. Paintball.de have prototype winders in stock and are very inexpensive. Simple easy wind up tool: CLICK HERE We also designed one here for winding up the test mags over and over again and had it 3D printed. A little on the over engineered side but does a great job of winding up in seconds. We have uploaded this ‘crank’ design for people to download (for free) and to 3D print if they would like. We recommend printing in nylon using an SLS or MJF 3D printer. Crank style magazine winder for the Planet Eclipse CF20 magazine. Comprises of three parts (Handle, A...

Fantastique paintball news from France.

Image
Something very cool happened in France recently, which impacted us not only as a business, but more importantly it impacted paintball as a sport. One of the young players on team RNPPC was awarded support from the Municipal Sport Department. Not only is this just a cool thing to happen to Julien (the player) but it's even cooler that they, as a body, recognised and rewarded someone within paintball. AND they gave him a CS2 Pro to help him out. Photo: DJSysko We asked our friends at Camp Paintball (France) for some more details. First of all, The Municipal Sport Department is in charge of all sports matters, so they're a pretty big deal and there is usually 1 Municipal Sport Department in each Hometown. This specific organisational structure consults, coordinates, supports and encourages sport within cities. On a regular basis they choose a sports club, or sometimes athletes, and form a partnership with them in order to support their commitment within sports. To do this, they ca...
