EGO LV2 HPR Bulletin ⚠️

Image
After years of design, development and rigorous testing across multiple scenarios the EGO LV2 made its competitive debut at the NXL Mid Atlantic Major (17-19 June 2022) without a single issue arising from the professional levels of use that it faced. However, a very simple issue did arise at the hands of a regular retail customer, which has raised concerns and led to swift action on our part. What’s the problem? The customer in question wound out the HPR (Velocity) adjuster to its limit, then proceeded to force it past its natural and obvious limit stops, leading to the retaining clip flexing out of position and the HPR regulator disengaging from the regulator housing. We at Planet Eclipse do not accept the solution to simply be a statement saying ‘don’t screw the adjuster beyond its limits’, so we have had an updated part manufactured to ensure that the HPR cannot be accidentally disengaged from the regulator housing. When will we see a fix? We tested the new part on Thursday 23rd Jun...

Vive la France 🇫🇷

Image
Cards on the table, and it's a bit of a running joke between ourselves and our awesome French buddies at Camp Paintball; every year there is an exceptional series of events called the French National Championships featuring the very best French teams, so the action is incredible. But we always find it confusing... even though it actually isn't. So we've asked our buddies at Camp to explain the story so far, seeing as we actually sponsor and support the teams who kick serious ass at every event. Take it away Richard! So the “Championnat de France” (French National Championship) is the pinnacle of all French Leagues throughout France. All main Region in France run their Leagues, affiliated to the French Federation (FFP - Fédération Française de Paintball) and at the end of the season, the best Teams in each Division qualify for the “Championnat de France”. After a blank year due to COVID, the Event took place at Ace Paintball in Dreux. It’s 1 hour from Paris and so far, the s...

Very SaD :-(

Image
SaD - Staffordshire and District Paintball Club.  SaD are one of the biggest Paintball clubs in the UK and have chosen Planet Eclipse markers as their marker of choice, which makes us really proud. SaD have teams in many different divisions and in many different formats and Planet Eclipse has the perfect marker for each level be that mech, mid range or high end. We got you covered.. Clubs structures are amazing to see players progress through the ranks (and drop down if need be). But you always need to look up and down and that is what SaD have done this season with a New Elite squad at the CPPS's highest division and also a SaD Academy, bringing in the youth at the Breakout Division. The SaD program is running strong and have already picked up 4 x 2nd place trophies this year. But we are sure they will push on to get that 1st place trophy at some point in 2022 in the woods, airball or concept fields that they compete in. Good Luck.... If you want to follow SaD or even want to talk...

Beira-Mar alive and KICKING!!!

Image
BEIRA-MAR CONFIENERGY PAINTBALL TEAM  1ST EVENT PORTUGUESE NATIONAL LEAGUE On March 26th , the first stage of Portuguese national paintball league took place in Lisbon. The first of five stages.  After almost 2 years of pandemic related problems, Beira-Mar Gold and Silver got back on the main stage of Portuguese Paintball. Unfortunately the pandemic brake brought on big changes and Beira-Mar needed to reform both team roosters. Beira-Mar Silver had a tougher mission during the prelims. The first two games we were able to bring a tie and a win. However the last two games we faced the teams that would advance into the finals. We lost these games and didn’t make it to the finals :-( Beira-Mar Gold started the prelims with a couple of rough games. The first game was still a victory but the second was a close 3 to 2 loss. The team was playing bad paintball, rookie mistakes were being made. The team had to sit down before the third game and adjust, things went a lot smoother a...

Emortal Army Legends #9 - Billy Bernacchia

Image
#21 Billy Bernacchia Recently voted as 2021 Snake Player of the Year, Billy Bernacchia run, dove and crawled his way into the Emortal Army Legends deck with ease. As one paintball's human missiles Billy's speed, strength and relentless ability to go, go and keep on going is virtually unmatched in the Pro leagues. Off the field he's an incredibly decent human being, but when he steps under the net something odd happens. Either the fresh air affects him or he's afraid of loud noises, we're not sure, but he transforms into a virtually unstoppable, devastating snake-side weapon of mass destruction. And he aint slowing any time soon y'all. Billy, you rock! And as with all of our Emortal Legends, we asked Billy a few simple questions. Photo: Fava Phtoto Favourite paintball moment? One of my favorites was being a part of the 2005 ESPN show at the Miami NPPL event. This was my first year playing pro and we (Hurricanes) were a younger, inexperienced team. I remember spe...

Emortal Army Legends #8 - Alex Fraige

Image
#7 Alex Fraige One of paintball's true greats, Alex's wisdom, vision, and sheer ability on the field has lead to an enviable career as one of paintball's true pioneers. His unique playing style combines intelligence and aggression like no other, and still continues to impress. His back catalogue is impressive. Even more impressive is how he continues to break games open and make championship winning moves to this day. These are just some of the reasons why he'll always be a bonafide Emortal Legend! And as with all of our Emortals, we asked Alex a few simple questions. Photo: Fava Photo Favourite paintball moment? My favorite paintball moment was winning Ford Mustangs at the Spyder Cup in 2000. It was so nice to validate the reality of paintball to my family. I remember it being a rainy day during the last game against Team Strange. Our guns were crap (not PE of course) and so was our paint. We just needed a flag pull to win the tournament and avoid hot gun penalties. I ...

Emortal Army Legends #7 - John Dresser

Image
#00 John Dresser Without question one of paintball's most important figures for so many years, John Dresser was the walking, talking heartbeat for the industry and the long time driving force behind PBNation.  If John Dresser (one word) doesn't know something, it isn't worth knowing and if he does, you probably don't. Like a mystical paintball God, he not only spread the gospel of paintball but has played with some of the greatest players and teams of all time. John Dresser is a true Legend of the sport and in our eyes will forever be regarded as an Emortal. And as with all of our Emortal Army Legends, we asked John Dresser three simple questions. Image: David Mullis Favourite paintball moment? Easy. World Cup 2015. 10-man. This was beyond special to me. We brought back the team name Farside and I played with the same core of guys I’d played with 15 years before there. I’d lost touch with some of them so it was unbelievable to see them and take the field with them agai...
