Mutant Warfare

Image
Team Capital Offense   attended the "Mutant Warfare" Scenario from Guru Games at Sherwood Forest. This event utilized next gen technology replacing outdated flag stations with digital & RFID technology.  Picture Courtesy of: Matthew Walton of Guru Games  Player ca rds are now tied to the scenario and are no longer just for chronos and safety briefs. Players use their cards to capture flag stations, acquire props and return for points, conduct game missions and more.  Picture courtesy of: Jon Barber The score was tracked in real time using Wi-Fi and RFID technology and a virtual game map was displayed that showed faction control as it happened.  Players were also able to score points individually and see their ranking on the leaderboard.  Developed by Matthew "MrEspn" Walton of Guru Games, the game also integrated Discord for live event updates and VOIP chats. The event was hailed as a significant step forward in paintball innovation, attracting pla...

The Gulag

Image
If you build it they will come. After two seasons of perfecting Leadfarmer's Gulag, this Speedmag tournament as we like to call it, has caught the attention of many paintballers. It is a bridge between the two main paintball classes, a 5 vs 5 tournament on a speedball field, speedball rules but with Magfed markers.  Many Magfed players have showed up and put their skill to the test. One player said "It's so intense and fast-paced...I truly have a new-found respect for speedball. This has been the highlight of my season".  The Gulag also saw tournament players try Magfed markers for the first time, it was a big change for them. The limited ammo and the slower firing markers have made it easier for them to move more aggressively on the field, but limited ammo made them rethink their style and focus on accuracy versus firepower.  Leadfarmer's Gulag was hosted by Commando Action Centre in the Canadian capital, Ottawa. The winner team was the Frontline Squad from the F...

EMF100 - So good they are stealing them!

Image
Yes, i t’s happened again! A recent shipment from the UK to Germany had a pallet cut open and 40 EMF100’s stolen. Nobody was hurt and investigations are still carrying on but it does mean that there are some stolen EMF100 markers out in the wild, and in the hands of criminals. We will register these on our database and if any of these markers surface we will report the details to the police. At this stage we don't know if the markers were taken in the UK or in transit to Germany however, the UK Police in Kent have taken on the case and the crime reference number is 46/123918/21 . If you buy these markers, even if they are cheap, we give the criminals a reason to steal more and next time it might be your pride and joy that is stolen. You will be receiving stolen goods and can (and will) have them taken back off you by the police. If you have any information you can contact crime stoppers ANONYMOUSLY here: https://crimestoppers-uk.org/ EMF100 (Black) Serial Numbers: 17060-1665...

CF20 Mag – Important Announcement!

Image
CF20 Mag – Important Announcement!   After 18 months of design, testing and even more testing we finally released the first production batch of our CF20 Magazines into the wild this past weekend, with the UK being the first market to use them in anger. Unfortunately, we have been made aware of an issue that resulted in the failure of a single part within the magazine for one customer. To some, the news of a single failure wouldn’t be an issue, you just send them a replacement part. But for us, any failure is a big deal. We design and manufacture our products to work as they should, to stay the course, and to be the very best on the market because ultimately WE also want to use these products. If a product fails our customers, we believe we fail as a brand. R&D have been analysing the part in question and have identified the problem.  We are currently arranging a replacement part to be manufactured, which will be replaced in all retail units as quickly as physically p...

The Gulag . . The start of something new???

Image
Leadfarmer (one of the Planet Eclipse Emortals) gave us a bit of a lowdown about the first 'Gulag' event. Commando action Centre my homefield, allowed me to host a new type of event. We call it SpeedMag. Bringing the magfed class out of the woods and on to the speedball field.  14 teams attended Leadfarmer's Gulag. It was great to see magfed players practice layouts, snake side, D side...learning about tournament paintball in advance of this event. Leadfarmer's Gulag, will become an annual event at Commando Action Centre, and other fields in Canada has shown interest in doing the same. The EMF100 proved to be the weapon of choice for many of the participants. Reliable, great performance and light weight...it is now a Speedmag tournament marker :-) First Place went to SAS Ottawa (Murdoch, Hammer and Bender)... Congratz. Keep an eye open for the next installment of the Gulag next year... Looks like being a 4 vs 4!! Was the Gulag experiment a success???  We Think So :-)

3 vs 3 MagFed Event featuring Emortal Zombie Girl

Image
As we emerge deeper out of lockdown around the World we love to hear about people starting to play again here at Planet Eclipse HQ. When one of our Emortals drops us a message (and pics) about a 3 vs 3 Magfed event then we get very excited. Jungle Island in Lake Elsinore  ran, what I believe was, the first United Mag Fed league event. Featuring 5-man teams, 3 man teams and individuals.   Zombie Girl played on a 3-Man team called SoCal Mercenaries (SCM) and took 2 nd Place with Zombie Girl also taking the event MVP award :-) Zombie Girl said “ I absolutely loved attending this event, way more competitive then attending our normal MFOG's. Definitely something for any Magfed player to attend in the future. Whether you’re doing 1v1, 3v3 or 5v5 this is definitely an event not to miss. I can't wait for the next one. ”   Check out the United Mag Fed League info here:  https://www.unitedmagfed.com/ We noticed that Zombie Girl had her kill cams on so we hope to s...

Eclipse Mag Fed: Incoming!

Image
MagFed. We love it. We’re incredibly proud of our growing range of MagFed products and genuinely humbled by how well we’ve been accepted into the MagFed community. So much so that we've created a MagFed Division within Planet Eclipse. Simply named EMF. Eclipse Mag Fed.  We're heavily back-ordered at the moment but for our latest imminent shipment, and all shipments going forward, the EMF logo will feature across our range of MagFed product packaging as a stamp of quality, so the customer knows that each product has been custom designed, built and tested to work for them. As it should. Game after game. Without fail. We’ve also taken this opportunity to tweak the name of our awesome MagFed EMEK, the EMG100. This will now be named the EMF100 (Emek Mag Fed 100) which is a small change but one that helps us manage and promote our MagFed presence.  New to Planet Eclipse Mag Fed products? Here’s our current list that will help fuel your MagFed habit: EMF100 (EMEK MagFed) Follower an...
