This Is Progress 🚀

Image
At its very core, paintball has always been inclusive, accessible and is one of the few leisure activities that is truly open to anyone, and everyone. But at its highest competitive level it has, for the most part, been an exclusive playing environment for athletic males. Until now. Blasted! - © Fava Photography After hosting a showcase event at the 2021 NXL World Cup, the 2022 season added one more division to its list. The WNXL. Consisting of all-female teams the WNXL was created to show the world that paintball is an exciting sport that females can, and should consider participating in. Not only that, but for those who do play and want to push their playing careers as far as possible there's an elite professional level that they can aspire towards and help open more doors for women in competitive paintball. So, we captured some of the great action and the thoughts of those awesome women who are working hard to prove their worth in this sweet video. Thanks to our incredible WNXL ...

Bringing the Latino Heat 🔥

Image
There have been quite a few changes in the wake of the 2021 NXL Professional Paintball season, one of which being the formation of a new Latin Pro team named the Latin Saints. This team has a solid roster with familiar faces either playing, or working within the organisation, and these guys mean business. We're tipping the Saints to really stick it to their opponents in 2022, so expect to see them knocking on the Sunday Club door quite early in the season. Team Coach Diego Santos said this about our partnership: Latin Saints are proud to announce that we will be shooting Planet Eclipse markers for the 2022 season.  We feel that Planet Eclipse has a long and rich history of making the best markers in paintball. We understand that to perform at the highest  level you need reliable equipment and service, which Planet Eclipse provide. We are beyond exited to have them as a sponsor for our first year in the NXL professional division. 2022 is already shaping up to be an entertaining...

Edmonton Impact. We want it all back!

Image
2018 gave us some fantastic matchups in the NXL. And although some familiar patterns emerged as the season progressed, others were slowly forming behind the scenes which led to one of the most exciting NXL World Cups we've seen in a long while. Unless you're Edmonton Impact, that is. As one of, if not THE most professional and consistently successful team in NXL history, Impact played some outstanding paintball throughout the year with their eyes firmly fixed on two things. Winning a fourth NXL Pro Series (in a row) AND the NXL World Cup 3Peat. Unfortunately for Impact, the best of the rest had other ideas. And in the course of one single match their dreams began to slip through their fingers. After losing to the Russians – which took the Cup 3Peat out of the equation – the Series title was in the hands of the paintball Gods and one match result. The NXL World Cup Final between Houston Heat and the Russian Legion. And once the final buzzer sounded... it was all ove...

3 from 3: NXL Pro Debutants - Sacramento DMG

Image
And last, but not least we caught up with the 2017 NXL semi-pro champions – Sacramento DMG – to find out about their Pro debut in Vegas. 1 – NXL Vegas was your Pro debut, which is a massive step for any team. In your opinion, how did Vegas go for you guys?  2018 NXL Las Vegas Open was an opportunity to learn for Sacramento DMG. We had our new equipment, and everything was feeling to par! Our DMG edition CS2’s were flawless, making it a breeze to focus on the game. However, as a team we made mistakes; we also made very high level intelligent plays. We had goals set for the event that we left on the table. Though, we prospered in what could have just been a negative outlook for that event. We came together and talked and talked about the moment, and the future. We truly saw what we could do when we were all instinctively operating intelligently in unison. We are a force to be. It is only a matter of time. 2 – Let’s talk matches. Which game made you guys realise Pro...

3 from 3: NXL Pro Debutants - New York Xtreme

Image
New York Xtreme kicked some ass in the 2017 semi pro season and brought us a fantastic World Cup final against DMG. And now, this old school franchise is back where it belongs. Amongst the Pros. We caught up with Beau Milo of NYX to ask them three simple questions about their Pro debut. 1: NXL Vegas was your pro debut, which is a massive step for any team. In your team’s opinion, how did Vegas go for you guys? Going Pro is always the goal when paintball teams are started. For NY Xtreme it is what has driven us to get to this point. When we started our team as NY Outlaws 4 plus years ago someone gave me some advice "if you guys can stick together for three years you will have a great shot to turn Pro". We have worked hard over the past 4 years and feel like even though we didn't win the semi pro division we have been one of the most consistent teams in that division. Prior to starting our team a few of our players had already played pro, but for the most part it wa...

3 from 3: NXL Pro Debutants - Scottsdale Elevation

Image
The first event of the 2018 NXL season, the Las Vegas Open, was an event of many, many firsts. First up, the incredible Eclipse CS2 was launched just in time for our top tier teams to hit the field with the very latest and greatest piece of Eclipse game-winning equipment. It was also the PRO debut for three of our teams, Sacramento DMG, New York Xtreme and Scottsdale Elevation - and the latter... well, they were penned as the whipped boys. But they were wrong. Very, very wrong. So we contacted the three new additions to the Pro division and ask them three simple questions about their Las vegas Pro debut. We caught up with Ryan Bosch and  Auggie Orozco  who were more than happy to climb down from cloud nine and share their thoughts. 1: Hi guys. NXL Vegas was your pro debut, which is a massive step for any team. In your team’s opinion, how did Vegas go for you guys? Vegas went better than good. Obviously our dreams are to win, but going into the Vegas event the gener...

NXL Europe: They want YOUR input.

Image
Barry Fuggle (Left), Tom Cole (Center), Steve Baldwin (Right) High-level tournament paintball is about to go through another big shake-up in Europe, which can always give players cause for concern and it is very easy to fall into the trap of only seeing the negatives - the doom and the gloom. But I genuinely think this new-dawn for European tournament paintball will be a good thing for teams and players. I’ve been friends with Tom Cole (President of the NXL) for many, many years - ever since his time captaining Bad Company and working for Kingman (Spyder). Over the years we’ve chatted openly about paintball and the good, the bad and the ugly it can often bring. Tom has always been open to my ideas and likewise I have always listened to his often very insightful views of paintball, both past and present. Not only is Tom someone in the industry that I trust, but I also consider him a friend. Since the NXL announced that they are coming to Europe (and a little before that...

Planet Eclipse 5 from 5 - #05 Edmonton Impact

Image
And finally, we finish with the team that every other team wants to emulate or take down. Taking the 2016 NXL Pro Series title, the 2016 Millennium Series Pro title AND both the NXL and Millennium Series World Cups it's easy to see why other teams look at them with awe and jealousy. Edmonton Impact are a vision of what a professional paintball team should be. Loaded with talent, brimming with confidence and unified through hard work and determination, Impact have always done their absolute best to achieve their goals. So it shouldn't be any surprise when they actually achieve them. Impact are busy boys, especially with the start of the season creeping up and all the titles to defend, but they still managed some time for a 5 from 5. FYI: JC (Justin Cornell) / KB (Keith Brown) PE: 2016. WOW! So…what can be done better in 2017? Seems pretty hard to improve on the double right? That aside, how good does it feel to finally be NXL World Cup Winners and what are your goals fo...

Planet Eclipse 5 from 5 - #04 San Antonio XFactor

Image
San Antonio XFactor already kick-started their 2017 season with a victory at the NXL Winter Classic, which puts them in a very sweet place going in to the first 'proper' event of the 2017 NXL season. After a solid and progressive 2016 season, XFactor had managed to put an impressive level of calm, organisation and unity into their play, but maintained their trademark aggression and unpredictable approach to every point. As paintball fans, and as a sponsor, X-Factor excite us. So we took 5 with them. FYI: CR: (Colt Roberts) / BB: (Billy Bernacchia) GG: (Grayson Goff) PE: 2016 was a really strong year for you guys. Yes, we know you wanna be winning but you kept your fans super happy and genuinely looked like you were enjoying your paintball. What can we expect from XFactor in 2017? CR: We hope that 2017 brings us up to the next level. We have been consistently finishing in the top 4 but we are looking to win a series championship. We feel that our two newest pick ups w...

Planet Eclipse 5 from 5 - #03 Infamous

Image
It's been a while. When the opportunity to re-sign the Infamous crew to our family of teams arose we we did everything in our power to make this happen. The talent, the personalities and the potential with these guys is insane and we absolutely wanted to be a part of that. And when we spoke to them about the up-and-coming 2017 NXL season they fired back with gold. Lots and lots of gold. From each player. Are you sitting comfortably? Good. So, kick back, relax and take it all in. FYI:  TT (Thomas Taylor) / KR (Kevin 'Kali' Rudulph) / CM (Cody Mickowski) / TL (Travis Lemanski) / PS (Phil Shredder) / DR (Damian Ryan) PE: We’re super excited to have you back with the Eclipse family, but how do YOU feel to be back with us? TT: Coming back to eclipse is like coming home to my family after a long trip, you're excited, filled with joy and content knowing you're in good hands. Eclipse to me is more than a paintball company. They were there for me when my career re...
