NPL (Dutch Paintball League)
http://www.paintballcompetitie.nl/ While on one side of the river hundreds of cyclists were racing for the finish line in the Giro, on the other side a little over two dozen teams gathered to play the first leg of the Dutch Paintball league (NPL). Two unique events taking place only a few miles apart from each other in such a small country. Two completely different sports with one having media choppers covering the event, thousands of viewers on the sidelines and an entire city being locked down and the other attracting by passers, loyal supporters, friends and family. You’d assume one would overshadow the other, however that was certainly not the case. The first National Paintball event of the year was a big success with more teams then ever showing up and competing in four divisions on two fields.
