3 vs 3 MagFed Event featuring Emortal Zombie Girl

Image
As we emerge deeper out of lockdown around the World we love to hear about people starting to play again here at Planet Eclipse HQ. When one of our Emortals drops us a message (and pics) about a 3 vs 3 Magfed event then we get very excited. Jungle Island in Lake Elsinore  ran, what I believe was, the first United Mag Fed league event. Featuring 5-man teams, 3 man teams and individuals.   Zombie Girl played on a 3-Man team called SoCal Mercenaries (SCM) and took 2 nd Place with Zombie Girl also taking the event MVP award :-) Zombie Girl said “ I absolutely loved attending this event, way more competitive then attending our normal MFOG's. Definitely something for any Magfed player to attend in the future. Whether you’re doing 1v1, 3v3 or 5v5 this is definitely an event not to miss. I can't wait for the next one. ”   Check out the United Mag Fed League info here:  https://www.unitedmagfed.com/ We noticed that Zombie Girl had her kill cams on so we hope to s...

Cerakote

Image
Over the years I think we can say that we have been on the cutting edge of metal finishes. We helped develop the original Splash which lead the wave of fades and acid wash that we saw in the 90's. Planet was the first to create the cool Aurora finish on markers and we have developed some amazing custom graphic anodising finishes and our full body wraps, like the HDE Camo pattern. We have even commissioned an artist that specialisted in anodising art to make us something super special, but let’s just say artistic differences stopped that project from going much further. When we visit real gun shows like IWA and Shot Show I’m always impressed with the 'Show Pieces' that some vendors create for display. I have tried several times to speak to them about how they do it and who does it but I got stone walled every time. I found out quite early on that the finish that they have on these show pieces is called Cerakote (other brand do exist) but even when you speak to Cerako...

The Hunt Is On !!

Image
We LOVE to hear about our teams, their adventures, the victories, the failures (not so much) and every now and again we see a team going above and beyond. When you get a pretty cool video sent to you that the Paintball World needs to see you need to get a bit more info about the team in question. We received one such video the other day from Capital Killerz. We like these guys. They seems to have their heads in the right place and are making some great moves at the UK Woodland Masters. With the UKWM Final round this weekend will they be able to hang again with the big biys that are fighting for the UKWM 2019 Title? We don’t know but they have proved they can do it once this year so lets see what happens tomorrow… This is what Arron had to say…. The Capital Killerz have been on a roll the last few Woodland Masters rounds with two Pro 1st place finishes. First at Round 3 UK Woodland Masters at Holmbush with Arron Thorp, Jack Marsh, Russell Johnston, Leo Carter-Smith, ...

NPL (Norway) Season Finale

Image
The Norwegian season is over and we can look back at a lot of great paintball-games and awesome moves. This year the Norwegian paintball federation took over the series. Their mission was to run it “the player’s way”. The feedback after the season was good, and they are working on making it even better next year. We had 4 legs of NPL (Norwegian Paintball League), Gjøvik, Degernes, Skarnes and the season finale was on the Rønholt arena. Over 40 teams in 4 divisions participated in the series, and the divisions was tight. No one was sure to be on the podium before the finals. That’s how we like it. J Throughout the season, the top 3 in Pro have been varied between Blast, Knights and Dynamite so the last event would decide the overall-winner. The winner of pro could also crown themselves with the title National Master – Norway’s best team 2019. In the prelims, Blast won all their games. Dynamite had 1 win, 1 loose (against Blast) and one draw. Knights had 2 wins and ...

Adventures at NXL Amsterdam

For the past few years, since Christmas day 2013, the Malaysian paintball industry suffered greatly with the introduction of paintball marker controls which required Firearm permits or licenses to own and use. All paintball fields, centres, paintball events and tournaments collapsed and closed down together with all the paintball stores. However to buck the trend, with careful negotiation with the Federal authorities and with the full hearted sponsorship, support, advise and encouragement from Ledz at Planet Eclipse, the Eclipse Paintball Series EPS - was born and began operation in early 2015. Adhering to strict SOP from the Federal authorities, paintball tournaments were brought back to life but not without its difficulties and hard work. After 5 hard and long years, EPS paintball series successfully bore fruits with the recognition by Planet Eclipse, ProShar, Virtue and GOG Paintball and becoming ProShar EPS in 2019. The vision of EPS is to revive the local paintball indus...

507 Paintball Series Finale

Image
Piratas Panama came with something to prove at the last event of the 507paintball series.  After a disappointing 4 place in the first event and 2nd place at event number 2, It was time to put everything together to try and win the series D3  championship. Piratas Panama knew the Series championship was still within reach . During this last event of the year they fought hard thru prelim on Saturday, and during semi they face a tough team, Piel Rojas, it came down to the last minute and Piratas manage a 4-3 Win. At the finals they were going to face another Planet Eclipse team, Chronic Chaos from Aruba, also contenders to take the series championship. As expected, it was a close match both teams had the chance to win.  At the end, it was a referees call that made the difference between the two teams.  Nevertheless, it was quite a sight to watch the best two teams of the series battle it out for the title. Chronic Chaos won this event, bu...

Is Paintball BACK in Malaysia???

Image
Welcome to the “City of Cats”, Kuching, capital city of the State of Sarawak, Malaysia. Home to the native tribes of Bidayuh and Iban people; land of amazing flora and fauna such as the majestic Rafflesia and the Rhinocerous Hornbill. Where mystic Asia meets the modern world. Kuching Paintball Open – KPO, was held in conjunction with Proshar and Planet Eclipse sponsored EPS 4th Leg Finale. KPO was organized by Kelab Paintball Mambong, Kuching – KPM and co-presented by Raskal Sports.  The event, now in its 5th season, saw a regional record-breaking participation of 68 teams. What was meant to be just another leg of a local tournament series turned out to be an international event with participating teams from Australia, Brunei and players from Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand. A large majority of teams and players were also local to Sarawak – an amazing show of support for the revival of paintball in the State. Over the duration of 3 days in conjunction with the Mala...

At this year’s Paintfest I sat in the bar the night before it all started with Ainsley, Owner of Lucky 15’s Elite Paintball team, and we got talking to a few guys from team South Coast Reapers about all things Paintball and one of the things that we took note of was how they, as a young inexperienced team, struggle to work out any game plans when they play the CPPS airball tournaments.  So I asked if Planet Eclipse sponsored team Lucky 15’s could help in some way. Luck is important. But a good plan is essential. The Lucky 15’s are the best current team in the UK. I don’t think anyone will argue with that statement. They have done it all themselves, learnt on the job, trained hard and honed their skills to be where they are today. They have a huge talent base of young hungry players with a few experienced players guiding the missiles. They have very kindly tapped away on a keyboard and given you a glimpse behind their curtain to see what they do to make things work. If...

Wanna Play

Image
On Sunday, May 26, 2019, Baltimore Paintball League hosted their Mid-Season Mayhem Tournament, which Wanna-Play’s Factory Team signed up for. The WPP Factory Team has been around for many years, stemming into the early 2000’s, but for this particular event we had 4 fresh players with little to no tournament experience on our line. The guys were pretty excited to play and they got some looks as they geared up, since we are usually known as “the team in camo”, so they must be woodball players, right?!?! …WRONG!!! Our guys practiced and worked hard all spring, practicing drills and plays, not only finessing their individual game, but their game as a team. It was now their time to see how they handled the pressure and to put all their time well spent to the test. As it typically goes, we were one of the first games of the day. As the buzzer sounded each of the players came off the starting box wielding their GTEK 170R’s and bodies started dropping. Three bodies gone on the...
