EGO LV2 HPR Bulletin ⚠️

Image
After years of design, development and rigorous testing across multiple scenarios the EGO LV2 made its competitive debut at the NXL Mid Atlantic Major (17-19 June 2022) without a single issue arising from the professional levels of use that it faced. However, a very simple issue did arise at the hands of a regular retail customer, which has raised concerns and led to swift action on our part. What’s the problem? The customer in question wound out the HPR (Velocity) adjuster to its limit, then proceeded to force it past its natural and obvious limit stops, leading to the retaining clip flexing out of position and the HPR regulator disengaging from the regulator housing. We at Planet Eclipse do not accept the solution to simply be a statement saying ‘don’t screw the adjuster beyond its limits’, so we have had an updated part manufactured to ensure that the HPR cannot be accidentally disengaged from the regulator housing. When will we see a fix? We tested the new part on Thursday 23rd Jun...

Update. Sync. Play.

The CS2 rocks. We all know this and it continues to do so, but we've made a few changes that make the CS2 even better. First, we've updated the Firmware on BOTH boards. This means that your CS2 (once you've updated it) will be able to connect to our new E-Portal Lite App (available NOW in the App Store), so you can customise your marker settings from your iPhone. Cool right? Secondly, the Firmware update reconfigures your Bluetooth module so that it will connect to the latest Virtue Spire IV iFI Technology™ which is great news for all CS2 and Spire IV owners. Simply follow these steps to make the most of your CS2 + SpireIV partnership. 1: Update BOTH CS2 boards to the latest 1.50 Firmware using E-Portal 4 . 2: Do a Factory Reset of your CS2 via your LCD screen to reconfigure your Bluetooth module. 3: Enable Bluetooth on your CS2. 4: With your CS2 ON, hold down the bottom button on your Spire IV. 5: Power up the Spire IV. 6: When the light turns green, release the bottom bu...

EMEK? Jack Wood explains.

Image
As we're about to launch the awesome EMEK into the Planet Eclipse lineup of markers, our friends in Germany at Paintball.De grilled Jack Wood to find out more about it. So we decided to steal the interview and post it here too. After all, Jack is OUR property. And don't panic, the interview is in English. Enjoy. You’re known for creating high-end markers that are beautiful, super-reliable and have industry-leading support. So why the decision to make a field marker? Well we have been asked for years and years by our sales guys to produce a good, reliable field rental marker. But we never felt we had the ability to produce something with the same level of quality that we demand from our products at a price that the Paintball parks would be willing to pay. But with the method of construction we used for Etha2, and then the technology we employed for Gmek, combined we could make a very very reliable, very high quality, amazing shooting marker for a price close to th...

3 from 3: NXL Pro Debutants - Scottsdale Elevation

Image
The first event of the 2018 NXL season, the Las Vegas Open, was an event of many, many firsts. First up, the incredible Eclipse CS2 was launched just in time for our top tier teams to hit the field with the very latest and greatest piece of Eclipse game-winning equipment. It was also the PRO debut for three of our teams, Sacramento DMG, New York Xtreme and Scottsdale Elevation - and the latter... well, they were penned as the whipped boys. But they were wrong. Very, very wrong. So we contacted the three new additions to the Pro division and ask them three simple questions about their Las vegas Pro debut. We caught up with Ryan Bosch and  Auggie Orozco  who were more than happy to climb down from cloud nine and share their thoughts. 1: Hi guys. NXL Vegas was your pro debut, which is a massive step for any team. In your team’s opinion, how did Vegas go for you guys? Vegas went better than good. Obviously our dreams are to win, but going into the Vegas event the gener...

#04 - The EGO has landed!

Image
Following on from our previous '25 Years in the Game' post, #03 XSV to EGO , it was only right that we waxed lyrical about the launch of our very first Planet Eclipse marker. The Eclipse EGO . Thomas Taylor giving the first custom XSV EGO some hell For those who don't know about our history, here's a little recap. We, Planet Eclipse, have been in the paintball industry for over 25 years now (since 1991/92) and started life with a small store in Manchester (England) selling other people's paintball equipment, as well as playing with it. As time moved on we decided to use our expertise to design and manufacture custom parts to make other people's markers look cooler and eventually perform better, because like every other paintballer out there we used this stuff too. We understood the frustrations of inefficient equipment and had ideas about how we could improve this. We wanted to go out at the weekends, to the woods or the speedball field and focus on ...

Check out the NEW CS1.5

Image
Develop. [dih-vel-uh p]   Verb (used with object). 1. To bring out the capabilities or possibilities of; bring to a more advanced or effective state. To many, the Eclipse CS1 altered the high-end marker landscape for good. With its incredibly soft shot, minimal kick, bullet-proof reliability and quiet sound signature it gave the professional athlete the ultimate tool needed to succeed. But in an increasingly fast-paced and wildly competitive arena where success is expected, the pressure for players and teams to develop and improve is huge, so we must match this pace with improvements to our equipment. Taking influences from the CSR and CSPro versions of the CS1, the CS1.5 brings a well balanced performance package that will continue the success of the platform. And the on-field success for those who use it. Gone are the sweeping lines and curves of the original, replaced with a more direct and angular styling package of hard edges and notches throughout hinting...

Very CSpecial Fades #07 - The Finale

Image
Yep. That's it. We're done. No more one-off wicked fades to show you. And we leave the party with a super subtle but insanely nice Blue/Navy Fade. This ticks all the boxes. It's smooth, subtle, balanced and just straight up badass. In fact we had to use our best charm skills to liberate this from production. Everyone had a 'thing' for this but it can be yours if you're quick enough. If you wanna get involved with the fade conversation then check out the  PBNation  thread and if you just wanna get your hands on one they'll ONLY be available at our  US Store  (sorry rest of the world). Say hello to Blue/Navy Fade. ONLY available to buy from our  US Store  from 09:00am EDT / 05-04-17 Thanks again for reading and for those who managed to get their hands on one of these babies we hope you enjoy every shot together. Until next time.

Ok, let's tone things down a bit. No more pink, we promise. Along similar lines to the Olive/Black fade, this one has a darker, more subtle feel to it. If the whole Olive thing wasn't your deal and you want things a bit more...sandy, then this could be your jam. Kinda looks like someone took a blow torch to the middle and charred it a little, which is pretty badass. If you wanna get involved with the fade conversation then check out the  PBNation  thread and if you just wanna get your hands on one they'll ONLY be available at our  US Store  (sorry rest of the world). Say hello to Sand/Dark Grey (reverse) Fade. ONLY available to buy from our  US Store  from 09:00am EDT / 05-03-17 Does this bad boy float your boat? Let us know in the comments below. Until tomorrow.

We're back on the BRIGHT side! And we've got another pink reverse fade but this time a whooooole lot of pink in one package. But it looks so good right? Sometimes it makes sense to break up a colour with something else but in this case the pink blinkers were well and truly on. If you wanna get involved with the fade conversation then check out the  PBNation  thread and if you just wanna get your hands on one they'll ONLY be available at our  US Store  (sorry rest of the world). Say hello to Pink (reverse) Fade. ONLY available to buy from our  US Store  from 09:00am EDT / 05-02-17 Drop a comment below and let us know what you think. Until next time.

We're already at the halfway point, just 3 more fades to go after this one. And it's another Toxic fade, but a little meaner and moodier than the Aqua Toxic we kicked off with. Blue on blue always looks cool and we're pretty blown away by how badass this one turned out, especially with the Toxic Splash. Something about this whole package makes sense, we don't think this will hang around for too long. If you wanna get involved with the fade conversation then check out the  PBNation  thread and if you just wanna get your hands on one they'll ONLY be available at our  US Store  (sorry rest of the world). Say hello to Blue Toxic Splash Fade. ONLY available to buy from our  US Store  from 09:00am EDT / 05-01-17 You now the drill, let's see your comments, let us know what you love or don't love about these fades. Until next time.

Something for the less 'shouty' paintballer. Yesterday's blast of neon pink and purple may have been a touch strong for those who like their markers more subtle, so today's offering may be right up your street. It's called Olive/Black but actually the dark part of this fade is a very, very dark green and looks pretty neat in the metal. No entirely stealthy, but definitely more toned down. We may even go as far as saying classy. If you wanna get involved with the fade conversation then check out the  PBNation  thread and if you just wanna get your hands on one they'll ONLY be available at our  US Store  (sorry rest of the world). Say hello to Olive/Black (very dark green) Fade. ONLY available to buy from our  US Store  from 09:00am EDT / 04-30-17 As always, we wanna hear form you so drop a comment below and make us feel loved. Until tomorrow.

And we're off! What did you think of yesterday's fade? Pretty sweet right? Just to clarify - yesterday's fade is actually what is available to buy TODAY and the fade we show here will be available TOMORROW. Got it? Good. So, on with the show! Who doesn't like a bit of insane neon pink? Due to the popularity of our Tokyo CSR last year we thought we'd have a play with the colours on a CS1, but with a reverse element thrown in. A reverse fade starts and ends with the same colour, in this case Pink > Purple > Pink. If this is right up your street then check out the release time below or if it's too loud for your tastes...maybe something more subtle will follow? If you wanna get involved with the fade conversation then check out the  PBNation  thread and if you just wanna get your hands on one they'll ONLY be available at our  US Store  (sorry rest of the world). So here it is, the bright, the bold... Say hello to Pink/Purple (Reverse) Fade. ONL...

Our production guys are always trying out new ways of making our markers look even prettier, which means we get to release some sweet looking markers into the wild that aren’t part of a larger run. We have 7 one-of-a-kind CS1 fades which have been through a tweaked fade process, meaning the colours blend smoother to create some stunning colour ways. The last time we did something similar we released all the colours to our email subscribers before they were available, but not this time. You’ll get a heads up here at our Blog and in this PBNation thread a day before the marker is released to buy. These will only be available to buy from our US Store  (sorry rest of the world). So, I guess you wanna see the first one right? Say hello to Aqua Toxic Splash Fade. ONLY available to buy from our US Store  from 09:00am EDT / 04-28-17 We’ll release one marker, per day, for the next 7 days (including today). Thanks for watching, stay tuned for more!
