LOD continue their good form in 2011

Image
Team LOD, from Argentina, attended the first CSP tournament in Argentina on March 26th & 27th. LOD started the 2011 season off on a high note just like they finished the 2010 season. Team LOD fought hard all weekend using their new Ego11s and Geo2s and ended victorious with a 1st place finish. Guns ran smooth all weekend and since the tournament was not filling till 4500 psi a lot of teams using different markers were running out of air. The Ego11s and Geo2s ran perfectly all weekend on only 3000psi fills. We are going to keep training hard to get ready for the next CSP in either Brazil or Chile and finally for World Cup. We appreciate all the support Marc and Planet Eclipse has given us over the last few years.... Cristian (LOD) Follow LOD here: CLICK ME !!!! Find out more about the CSP Here... CLICK ME !

Sometimes you need more than just Brute Force !

Image
Mike Revelle from Brute Force gives us the lowdown on their last event. Over the past few months, we have become very acquainted with the scenery of the Mass Pike and Interstate 91. The Hartford skyline, the basketball hall of fame, the Connecticut River and a seemingly abandoned trolley museum have all been fleeting sights in our travels. This past Saturday, the 18th of March, we had the pleasure of viewing them again on our trip to Xtreme Paintball in East Winsor, CT for the Monty Python scenario game, hosted by the field and their factory team, Xtreme Shenanigans. General Sean Connell and XO Bryce McCarthy of Team Brute Force, upon arrival at the field, were soon at work plotting their strategies while walking the turf. The conditions looked swell, compared to the mounds of snow that we encountered just weeks earlier. Yes, there were some puddles, but we’d take a Lady of the Lake over an abominable snowman any day. Soon, the staff was ready to start the opening ceremonies. After qui...

3 In a Row..... BOOOOM !!! DYNAST . . . . . . .Y !

Image
The 3 Major World Paintball Tournaments have now had their opening events. The formats have been different, locations in America and Europe, but there has been one common theme…. Planet Eclipse sponsored Team DYNASTY have won all three events !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It’s still far too early in the season to be predicting how the whole year will pan out but Dynasty have certainly set out there stall in a VERY impressive way. To win at one format is hard work, but you have the luxury of training on the field layout and format to dial in your performance to the max, but to bounce from one event to the next, playing different rules, formats and field is pure class. Just last weekend Dynasty were in Paris, France winning the first Millennium Event of the season then to fly back to their home town and less than a week later to WIN NPPL Huntington beach is outstanding. This win, I believe also brings Dynasty to 50 Professional tournament wins and I’m sure it won’t be there last… Also a big WELL DONE ...

Paintball Needs You.... NOW !!!

Paintball Needs YOU !!!!! This weekend the NPPL have got a web cast on ESPN3. Why does anyone care? In a nutshell having Paintball on ESPN is BIG. It could be the injection that Paintball needs. If there are suddenly millions of new players because they’ve seen it on TV and thought they’d have a go themselves, EVERYONE will benefit. Yes, it’s been tried before and to some extent it worked but this time we have a pretty good shot at making something that looks brilliant. Why is this one different to the others? Simply put, this piece is being filmed by the ‘A-TEAM’ of Paintball video production people. In the past, the people filming have had little or no experience in shooting paintball, thus missed a lot of the action. This time it’s a star studded Paintball-Filming ‘Who’s Who’. HMFIC is Brad ‘ Beastman’ Maughan, ETV’s Main camera guy and ex Dynasty Player; Dan Napoli, ETV’s director; Pat Spohrer & Aivren Antonio from Monkey With a Gun; Rob from Der Der; Tyson Maughan; (ETV Riva...

Monosalvaje win @ first EPPL

Image
It all began on Saturday march 19, 2011 when the sun and the cool weather created the perfect setting for the 1st EPPL (Ecuadorian Professional Paintball League) event at Extreme Park in the mountain city of Cuenca. The venue was incredible, with a newly set up turf field, spectator stands, and Eclipse tradeshow tent (store and TECH support) , lighting and a great view making it a great day to play paintball. Games started early in the morning with 20 teams in the amateur division, divided into 4 groups of 5 teams playing a Race-To-3 format. The top team from each group would advance to semis on Sunday. Our first game against The Bunkers was a rough one, but we eventually tied the match. After learning the field a bit better and correcting some mistakes, we rolled through our 2nd and 3rd games winning both 3-0. At the end of the day we were tied with the Bunkers for first place in our group, with our last prelims match scheduled for Sunday morning. Our last prelims match was a very i...
