Gotcha - Mexico !!

The 2011 season has been a very busy year so far. Attending many local tournaments, hosting the first MPL event and now just attending our first scenario event, San Markers Gotcha (Gotcha means paintball in Mexico).

This is Karla Andrade Alvarez , representative of Extreme Sports Mexico (Planet Eclipse’s Exclusive Distributor for all of Mexico). Extreme Sports Mexico supplies all of Mexico with Planet Eclipse product, attends and supports tournaments and scenario events and offers full technical support on all Eclipse markers. Just last month we hosted our first national event of the year in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The series is called MPL (www.mpl.com.mx). It was a great start to the year, since it was also in a city that we have never held an event before in the past. Marc Lancia, from Planet Eclipse, also came and attended the event. It was great to see Marc Lancia there meeting the players and also getting a chance to play with our team during the event.

Two weeks after the tournament we attended our first scenario event in Mexico, San Markers Gotcha. This was a great experience for us as a company to see that type of market and to show the players that we don’t just support Tournament Paintball that we support scenario and all styles of paintball. There were over 100 players who attended the event. With the smaller group of people it gave us a great opportunity to talk to all the players about paintball and Planet Eclipse as well as give them information on tournaments that are held throughout Mexico. The field was a lot more natural then having bunkers everywhere. Players had to hide behind anything they could find whether it was a tree, rock or a pile of branches. This was also my first time playing in this type of game so it was a great experience for me too.

We had a small Eclipse booth at the event to show what type of markers and equipment Planet Eclipse offers. There were a lot of players that have never seen or heard of us and Planet Eclipse so it was great to get the exposure of our product line out to new players. There was a lot of interest in the product now from the players so we are hoping by attending more of the events it will help expose Planet Eclipse to more players in Mexico. Overall the event went great. The players had a great time, we exposed new players to our product and now we look forward to attending more scenario events in the future. This past month as also just released a brand new Paintball magazine for Mexico. This is the second event where we could actually bring the magazine there and give it to the players. This is just another way we are trying to inform players about the sport and what’s happening in Mexico. It was well worth it to go out to the event, meet new players, talk about the Planet Eclipse brand and just pass along some paintball knowledge. We want Planet Eclipse expand and position in the minds of consumers as a leading brand not only in the United States England, but also in Mexico.
