Team Raskal wins ISSC 2011 - May 29th

With the return of main players from injuries and the addition of 4 new players, Team Raskal is once again a team to be reckoned with this season. In this 7 Man format of the International Super Sevens Championships ISSC played at the Federal Capital Putrajaya, this year coincided with the Malaysian Youth Day celebrations. ISSC events is sponsored and fully supported by the Malaysian Ministry of Youth and Sports as part of its ongoing programmes of promotions of sports and games to its young people.

Raskal's day started slow on Saturday in the preliminary rounds dropping 2 games out of 9 and finishing 2nd on the leader board. Shooting the awesome Ego11 and Geo 2 was an advantage when HPA pressured dropped to less than 3000psi due to a faulty air port valve. There were teams from Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia and Philippines, provided good strong games for Raskal.

On Sunday Raskal met its arch enemy, aptly named team Nemesis in the best of 3 semis and despatched them 2-0 quite easily and losing only one player in one of the games. The Finals game against Global Gutz Pinoy of Philippines was exciting and eventful with Raskal throwing bodies forward and the Pinoys playing a holding game and shooting their lanes. With the first 2 games drawn, Raskal entered the 3rd game with a different game plan. On the break, Raskal sacrificed one player to take the 50's and draw the heat whilst they inserted 2 into the snake and 2 into the doritoes immediately, supported by the 2 in the back centre shooting lanes. Ulltimately, the dorito side broke through first and with muggers going from the snake, wrapped this point up.

Team Raskal would like to thank all theirs sponsors, Planet Eclipse for its fantastic Markers and apparels and Skirmish Paintball Asia for all its support, Gelkaps for its paintballs, Dye for the Rotors, Maxs for the Vforce goggles and 7th Element for it carbon tanks.
