WCPS 2012 Season Opener

The 2012 Season started out right, with 25 teams and 120 players out to compete in the West Coast Paintball Series.  Teams gathered in the morning and you could see the excitement on the players’ faces and hear it in their voices – they were ready to challenge returning teams from last season and teams that were new to the series for the top places in each division.  

In the Novice Division, Code Blue and 406’s Finest fought hard for first place.  Both teams held high scores throughout the entire day.  Ultimately, Code Blue took home first and 406’s Finest came in second, with new-to-the-series team Loaded, Inc. leaving with third place.

For Rookie Division, PBK led the way with the highest score, taking first place.  Cartel was trailing behind Punishment throughout the day, but earned their place in second during the finals.  Punishment finished in third place.

Even though DBS Killmode and DBS Killmode 1 had the highest scores all through the day, War Machine fought hard and won the first place title in Beginner Division.  DBS Killmode 1 settled for second place and DBS Killmode landed in third.

The day ended with everyone in high spirits from an exciting day full of games and competition.  As always, the WCPS is always thankful to have players with such positive attitudes about the event.  We're also thankful for our sponsor, Planet Eclipse, for continuing their support of paintball here in the Northwest!   Teams are already gearing up for the second event of the season to be held at Royal Ridges Paintball in Yacolt, WA on May 19th.  You can find more information about the events here (http://westcoastpbseries.com/event-2-royal-ridges-yacolt-wa) and get your team signed up for the Northwest’s biggest tournament series!

Whenever we hear reports of any issues with our products – no matter how small – we like to jump on it as soon as possible, try our best to understand the root of the problem and then provide a definitive solution. Over the last couple of weeks we have received reports of some inconsistent air leaks from the frame and POPS area of the CS3. Every marker that we produce is thoroughly tested prior to packaging and shipping, but unfortunately these leaks have developed after shipping, and normally at temperatures below those that the markers experience in testing. This is generally down to contraction – or shrinkage – of seals that occurs as the temperature drops. The leak can be heard from around the grips or, with the grips removed, from the Regulator Hole A in the side of the frame. It can also be heard from the join between the bottom of the frame and the POPS. We have traced these leaks to what appears to be a bath of bottom tolerance 016 NBR70 o-rings used on the brass HPR Body (see

Is Paintball back in Malaysia ??????

We think it is and we are super excited about it. Penang Island Malaysia, Pearl of the Orient also known as the Prince of Wales Island founded by the British East India Company in 1786 by Sir Francis Light and made a British Crown Colony in 1867. An Free port Island made in spices and entrepot trading and resupplying ships to and from the Indian Ocean. Modern Penang is also a renowned tourist destination both for local and international visitors for its food, heritage, hotels, beaches, cruise terminal and family activities. This island rich with culture and ethnic diversity was also the venue of our Northern Paintball Super league – on May 12th and 13th. With the fullest support from the City Council of Penang – Majlis Bandaraya Pulau Pinang – MBPP, and hosted on Georgetown city centre’s beautiful Polo Grounds saw the largest paintball tournament, Penang International Cup in Malaysia of the past few years with 89 teams. It's officially the week of the world's biggest tournament paintball event on the Planet, the PSP World Cup in Orlando-Florida and we cannot wait! With so much up for grabs this year for our teams we're super excited to see how they all perform. For some, it's about finishing what they started in 2014, for others it's about putting the team in the best possible position for 2015's first event.
