Team Capital Offense Delivers the Best Upgrade
Paintballers at all levels are always
looking for the latest upgrade. In our
sport the slightest edge can mean the difference between hanging the flag and
dragging feet to the deadbox. Line-of-Fire Paintball offers players of all
ages a chance to upgrade the most essential aspect of the gear – themselves.
Each summer Line-of-Fire puts on a three
day paintball skills camp. Campers range
from 10-years-old to 60, but they all come for the same reasons: to have fun,
to improve their skills, and to add some new techniques to their
repertoires. This year’s experience
covered the basics that everyone needs to play the sport, then focused on some
skills specific to the scenario side of the sport.
Jason “foolybear” Lineberger, Joel Krenzer,
and Brian Radford, all of Team Capital Offense, served as the camp
instructors. Each day began with skill
work on the airball field, including: gun fighting essentials, movement,
communication, teamwork – aspects of the game that can be honed in the confines
of the airball arena but that can be applied to any game on any terrain. The drills then moved to the close-quarters
battles of the town field and then on to the woods. Players also took part in games designed to
work on specific paintball skills. One
favorite forced a small team to sharpen their abilities to move quietly in the
woods, to choose their battles, and to spring an ambush at the right
moment. Campers capped off eight hours
of paintball with just-for-fun games, and the final day concluded with a camp
dinner and awards ceremony.
Big thanks go to Planet Eclipse for their
continued support of this paintball camp.
The campers loved their daily prizes!
And many of them have also upgraded their kit by purchasing new PE
markers and playing gear, equipment they had a chance to test at camp. Thanks also to Enola Gaye who sent the
awesome smoke grenades that added excitement to an already high-energy camp
experience.
Line-of-Fire’s 2016 camp will take place on
June 29 – July 1 near Asheville, North Carolina. Looking for a great present for that
paintballer in your life? Think about
the gift of paintball camp!
