If you step out of the woods today.....

........... your sure for a big surprise !!!

Upon the completion of our first scenario game of the season, a few of our members started looking into local events that were between our scheduled games for the 2015 season.  With a little bit of research, a few guys decided to venture away from what we know and love about woods ball and attempt to play in a speedball tournament.  For myself, it was the first time seeing these inflatable objects that many call “bunkers.”  After arriving at the field and walking the layout, we quickly realized that we would be in for a learning experience.

The next morning, we were second on the field after our team captains meeting. We threw on our custom jerseys and realized that the HDE camouflage pattern that helps us blend into the woods wouldn’t help us much on the speedball field. We came out of the first match with a tie and noticed that woods and speedball have different styles of play that we had not known before this event.

After we watched other more experienced players, we began to pick up on small tricks that played major roles to who would win the point. The next match we played, we came out with the point, but had to fight for it. Throughout the day, our HDE jerseys made many heads turn our way, whether it was because of the professional look or bounces the jerseys caused.  Quite a few people also asked about our custom Black Karma Geo 3.5’s that we recently acquired.  The only worry we had throughout the day was to make sure we didn’t perform an error.

We made it into the semifinals playing against the team that we had tied earlier in the day. The match was a tough battle, but we pulled through victorious and earned a spot in the finals. The final match was hard fought between both teams.  In the end, we won the point putting ourselves in 1st place for the series.

We would like to give special thanks to Planet Eclipse for the ongoing support and exceptional gear that we know and love.  Also, we would like to thank Empire for the great Ultra Evil paint and PIG (Paintball is Good) for hosting a great event.
Check out our Facebook page to keep up with our future practices for UWL (June 13th at Bearclaw Paintball in Fayetteville,TN), events we are attending (UWL TN – July 25th–26th, and UWL IL – September 12th-13th), and announcements from Planet Eclipse.  Hope to see you soon.

Scam Warning....

Every now and again these things seems to pop up. Some are mistakes and some we are sure are scams. Some vanish before our very eyes when we investigate...Funny That !

So I thought I’d give you our guidelines to avoid being scammed...

1... If it's too good a deal to believe then it's 'probably' a scam...

The End....

Don't fall foul to these scammers....

Here is one link that a kind Samaritan contacted us about the other day... Lots of cheap stuff.. Would you send you money here???  I don't think so.. Be VERY careful....

If you get a serial number of a marker and contact us we will check if it's been registered on our database as stolen.. Only flags up if we have been informed but it's a better guess than sending your hard earned money to some no named, contactless web site :-)

You have been warned !!

Rebels Tour - Norway

Finally the first leg if NPL – Norwegian Paintball League is here :-) The snow has lifted, the grass is slowly peeking through the ground and its Paintball time!

The first tournament of the year is held at Gjøvik aktivitetspark run by Rune from Xsportz.

Rebels were attending with only 5 guys, with some key-players missing, but with good help in the pit and on the coach side they were ready to take on the Norwegian elite paintball-scene.

They started against the toughest team, Blast. Rebels took the first point, but Blast stepped up their game and the result became 1:4.

Second game was against Xsportz this was a close game and ended in overtime with a 3:2 win to Rebels.

After the second game the tournament got a bit too exsiting for the guys. Even had to leave with his kid that got sick, so suddenly they were only 4 players left.

Earlier that day Rebels had announced the winner of a contest they’ve had on their facebook page for some months – Martin Helgesen a d2 player playing his first ever tournament that weekend.
After he got the prize he stuck around helping Rebels out in the pit and that more than paid of; Rebles asked him to join their ranks and he play the remaining games! So the rookie player from Angry Beavers D2 got to play Elite division aswell. He stepped up and made a real effort fighting with the team through the last games. I don’t think his feet has touched the ground yet.

So after the roster-change Kristiansund Oilers was up, Rebles won 3:1

Rampage was Rebels last game of the prelims and high on their success they ended the prelims with a 4:1 win

Since it was so many prelim games the best four went straight to the final. Fighting over 3rd and 4th place: Xsports and Degernes Rednecks, and for 1st and 2nd place: Blast vs Rebels.

Blast had only lost one point that day, and that was Rebels fault they did, Blast didn’t take any chances, despite the crippled Rebels team, Blast sent out their best and won a solid 4:0.

Rebels took 2nd place. It always feels bad to lose your last game, but all the guys felt that with the weekends problems they won the 2nd place, not lost 1st.

Congratulations to Rebels starting the Norwegian season off with silver in Norways top division.

Thanks goes to our second pit-crew Torald, Kristine, and Rønholt Blast for helping us out during the tournament.

Also a huge thanx to the people that makes this possible:
Planet Eclipse, Virtue Paintball, PBgear, Anthrax and Fight Back Design for the best gear and paint!
RVS, JKS rør, Energima and ProteinFabrikken for your support
Roy Stranna at Stranna Foto for making us look good :)

Love from Kristine Myhre Andersen
