Wild Bunch 2015 and beyond !!

The 2015 paintball season was one of our team’s best and most memorable for the Wild Bunch. We want to say a special thanks to PLanet Eclipse for making that possible.  As one of our team’s sponsors, we wanted to say thank you for your support and provide and to give you a recap of our season.

One of our players got the season off to an early start with the opportunity to participate in Shoreline’s European Guerilla Series, Call to Duty 5, playing in castles across France and Belgium.  Wild Bunch's first team event was at our home field of Splat Tag for their large game at the end of March.

Two weeks later, The Wild Bunch set out for our first traveling game, heading to a new field for our team, Fort Knox, in Indiana.  It was a great event and we had a fantastic time, bringing home the two highest team honors, Best Sportsmanship, and Most Feared Opponent (MoFO).

The following week, three of our players competed in a regional Close Quarters Combat tournament for the first time and took fourth, out of 28 teams.  Our team then finished the month with a large game at Splat Tag.

The month of May started with our second traveling game of the season, as we traveled to Sherwood Forest in Indiana, where we helped secure one of the largest margins of victory in Sherwood Forest’s big game history.  We closed out the month of May participating in Splat Tag’s annual spring Giant Big Game, one of the best-attended games in the field’s history.

In June, one of our players headed down to Oklahoma D-Day, then our team refereed the area's largest airsoft game, and we ended the month with a big game in Wisconsin.

July was a great month for the Wild Bunch and started with several of our teammates participating in a local paintball fundraiser, and we got the chance to get to know paintball stars Greg Hastings and Bea Paxson.  Our team then launched a brand-new paintball charity game to benefit Cure SMA, Battle for the Cure.  SMA is debilitating disease that is often fatal among children.  Despite facing the hottest day of the year, the game was very well attended and we raised nearly $6,000.  This was a season highlight and we are very excited to expand on this game this this year.  We closed out the month with another large game at Splat Tag.

We played one game in August and then played in Splat Tag’s Fall Giant Big Game in September.  This led us to our first International paintball trip and we flew out as a team, eventually making our way to Ontario, Canada for Shorelines “The One.”  This was one of the greatest memories of the season; we experienced Niagara Falls as a team, made our first international border crossing with paintball guns, and enjoyed buffalo wings together at the restaurant that first created them.  We wanted to say a special thank you for the generous package that Planet Eclipse provided for this event.  Having the matching hats and the new gear made the trip even better and our team really appreciated that gesture very much.  It was an incredible trip, made even more memorable when we won the Most Valuable Team award.

We closed out the season with month-end games in September and October at Splat Tag.
It was a fantastic season, and we thank you very much for your support.

We are very excited for what is to come.  We are extremely excited to see the arrival of our new custom Planet Eclipse guns.  We also acquired a tracked tank, which we will be outfitting and getting ready for the 2016 season for our scenario games.

Most of our team members grew up playing paintball and watching Planet Eclipse-sponsored teams dominate podiums in tournament after tournament.  To become a Planet Eclipse team ourselves was something truly special and it reinvigorated our team and helped fuel intensity throughout the season.  Thank you for the opportunity; it is something that we greatly value.
For the 2016 season, we will once again be exploring another national field to which we have not yet been, setting our sights Indy Battleground, just south of Indianapolis.  Some of our players will again have the opportunity to play in Europe, Oklahoma D-Day, and we are looking at another fall team traveling game where we will have the opportunity to fly out and explore another new field.

We thank Planet Eclipse for your support, the great communication and service that Marc provided throughout the season, and we look forward to working with you for this upcoming 2016 season. We will continue to work hard to represent Planet Eclipse showing players your amazing markers up close.  Thank you, here is to one of the best seasons yet!
