While on one side of the river hundreds of cyclists were racing for the finish line in the Giro, on the other side a little over two dozen teams gathered to play the first leg of the Dutch Paintball league (NPL). Two unique events taking place only a few miles apart from each other in such a small country. Two completely different sports with one having media choppers covering the event, thousands of viewers on the sidelines and an entire city being locked down and the other attracting by passers, loyal supporters, friends and family. You’d assume one would overshadow the other, however that was certainly not the case. 



The first National Paintball event of the year was a big success with more teams then ever showing up and competing in four divisions on two fields. After years of not seeing much growth in the participating teams we finally see a change, a change for the better. The shops, fields, teams and players are working hard to improve the competitive paintball scene and improvement is what we got.


Planet Eclipse was not only well represented at the NPL but also provided several teams with the high quality equipment they require to win. Here are their results:

Whenever we hear reports of any issues with our products – no matter how small – we like to jump on it as soon as possible, try our best to understand the root of the problem and then provide a definitive solution. Over the last couple of weeks we have received reports of some inconsistent air leaks from the frame and POPS area of the CS3. Every marker that we produce is thoroughly tested prior to packaging and shipping, but unfortunately these leaks have developed after shipping, and normally at temperatures below those that the markers experience in testing. This is generally down to contraction – or shrinkage – of seals that occurs as the temperature drops. The leak can be heard from around the grips or, with the grips removed, from the Regulator Hole A in the side of the frame. It can also be heard from the join between the bottom of the frame and the POPS. We have traced these leaks to what appears to be a bath of bottom tolerance 016 NBR70 o-rings used on the brass HPR Body (see

We think it is and we are super excited about it. Penang Island Malaysia, Pearl of the Orient also known as the Prince of Wales Island founded by the British East India Company in 1786 by Sir Francis Light and made a British Crown Colony in 1867. An Free port Island made in spices and entrepot trading and resupplying ships to and from the Indian Ocean. Modern Penang is also a renowned tourist destination both for local and international visitors for its food, heritage, hotels, beaches, cruise terminal and family activities. This island rich with culture and ethnic diversity was also the venue of our Northern Paintball Super league – on May 12th and 13th. It's officially the week of the world's biggest tournament paintball event on the Planet, the PSP World Cup in Orlando-Florida and we cannot wait! With so much up for grabs this year for our teams we're super excited to see how they all perform. For some, it's about finishing what they started in 2014, for others it's about putting the team in the best possible position for 2015's first event.
