Datis Dominate the Palm Series

Image
We love to hear about our teams kicking ass all over the globe..  (Note to you... let us know at info@planeteclipse.com and we might include you in our blogs posts as well).  It's normally a Monday or Tuesday before we get to hear about the glorious victories are teams have accomplished over the weekend but not with Datis. The Iranian calendar is different and there weekend falls on Thursday and Friday. So we get to know about a win before our weekend even starts, which is always nice. Datis just completed the double at the 2 nd leg of the Palm series ( http://palm-series.com/ ) in Iran with Shemiranat Datis winning Division 2. And Tehran Datis being crowned champions in Division 1. Great results and well done from everyone at Planet Eclipse. Follow Datis on Facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/DATISpaintballteam/

Great title right? Post number #07 in our series of most memorable moments over the past 25 yeas of Planet Eclipse zooms in on the shop team – before there was a shop actually – the Banzai Bandits. In fact, this is about one event in particular, the 1997 Hyperball Championships. An event that sticks with them to this day, and for very good reason. But before we get to the event itself we need to give you a little history lesson about the team. How did the Banzai Bandits first start? This could be a really long story. I started playing back in 1986; I was invited by a friend. I was hooked so started to look for more venues. A few of my friends and I started playing at a Paintball site in Worsley. We didn't have a team name or anything, we just attended normal customer days using Splatmasters. One of my friends (Chris Morden) had been to London and bought a couple of Samurai style headbands and we wore them the next time we played (I know, proper 80s right?). The Worsl

https://www.facebook.com/CBXball/ Landed in Guarulhos Airport in Sao Paolo , Brasil after a 9 hour flight from Miami. Sao Paolo is the largest city in South Amerca. The city is alive 24 hours a day and never sleeps. Forecast or the week will be cool at a steady 57* throughout the week. After about an hour of Traffic I arrived in Atibaia Paintball Club (APC) . APC has been in business for more than 4 years and is known as a great scenario field in Brasil. Owner Julio Lima was ready with a shot of the local nectar, Cachaca upon my arrival at the field. After a brief tour of APC we headed to a lakehouse where I would be staying for the next couple of days. The view was incredible but the ducks were quite rude always quacking for food. Anyways ,I unpacked and got everything ready for the tournament. Circuito Brasileiro do Xball (CBX) is the premier speedball league in Brasil. Rodrigo Araujo has done a fantastic job with this league. This is CBX's 3rd year and they are steady

Techs on Tour - Nick Patterson @ Living Legends

Image
What can be said of the now legendary Big Game known as Living Legends?  Hosted at the incredible CPX Sports, the weekend promised to be full of fun, paintball, and unfortunately, as it turned out, enough rain to constitute a biblical event. That weather did not deter the roughly 1700 players from playing! Through rain and wind and lots of mud they played and Planet Eclipse were there to help with any technical issues... You know.. Just in case :-) Playing on arguably some of the best fields in the country, if not the world, Living Legends played all over CPX Sports, including the town of Bedlam and the smoking ruins of Armageddon, where intense action could be had, especially when it came to the now infamous final battle. Speaking of the players, they came in every possible shape and form that you could imagine. They were young and old, tall, short, wearing HDE camo, a stylish kilt or new and flashy tournament gear. They played using every type of eq

#06 - Let's make something slow, really, really fast.

Yep. We're talking about the EBlade. At a time when paintballers were in awe of the speed of electro markers, but deep-down loved the feel and accuracy of the Autococker, the question was...surely you could have both? And guess what. You could. In the early noughties we released a product called the EBlade which kick-started the next level of our involvement with custom markers and re-ignited a passion for the Autococker that nobody had anticipated. This was a big deal for us, so we decided to dig a little deeper and ask a few questions (actually, a LOT of questions) to bring you a better insight into how the product came about and what the main protagonists thought about it. Are you ready to read a lot of stuff? Good. Here we go. The Nexus EBlade giving it some So, before we get into the awesome EBlade, you guys brought out your own Cocker didn’t you? I guess nobody brings out their own Cocker. Custom houses brought out different custom versions of the Worr Gam
